150th anniversary of the community of Leudelange

Located in the canton of Esch-sur-Alzette and forming part of the administrative district of Luxembourg, the community of Leudelange has an area of 1.353 ha.

Despite a great demographic expansion and the existence of three industrial zones, the area is surrounded by a belt of greenery. There are currently 678 ha of meadows and prairies and 435 ha of forests (coniferous and deciduous). The built-up area is 129 ha.

The three industrial zones are no strangers to the rapid growth of the community. The zones are “Poudrerie” (17 ha), “Grasbësch” (23 ha) and the largest “Am Bann” (47 ha). These zones are not yet totally occupied and new businesses are starting up there one after another, resulting in a constant increase in employment.
