Made in Luxembourg

To share a plate of local cooked meats accompanied by a Grand Premier vintage Luxembourg wine, to rediscover the simple pleasure of a good beer "made in Luxembourg" or a slice of country bread covered with "Kachkéis", to offer a "Bretzel" at mid-Lent or "Boxemännercher" on Saint Nicolas Day, this is why connoisseurs of fine foods and fresh products have decidedly good reasons to appreciate our country.

The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg presents a rich palette of local products capable of delighting the most discerning palates.

The fruits of an ancestral know-how passed down from generation to generation, the authenticity of products such as wines and sparkling wines, smoked hams, butter or even honey is guaranteed by the Luxembourg "National Mark" created by the law of 1932. Today it is a mark synonymous with superiour quality and production methods that respect the environment.

More specific labels have also appeared, notably the label "Made in Luxembourg". Introduced by the Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of Trades in 1984, it validates traditional methods of production and of processing products as varied as beer, cooked meats, milk products, or even mustard, vinegar and pastries.

In this series of stamps, we pay homage to the impressive diversity as well as the quality of our agro-food products which deserve to be discovered and savoured.
