Polyester film produced by DuPont de Nemours
Located in the communities of Contern and Hesperange near Luxembourg, the DuPont Luxembourg site employs 1,300 people of 22 different nationalities. The most important products at this location are: the Mylar®, Cronar® and Melinex® polyester films, manufactured by the joint development company DuPont Teijin Films; theTypar®, Xavan®, Plantex® and Zemdrain® high-resistance, nonwoven sheets; the Tyvek® thermobound polyethylene; as well as the Hytrel® thermoplastic elastomer.
All production units at the site work in conformance with ISO 9001. The site is also certified in accordance with the ISO 14001 environmental protection standard and is registered following EMAS, the environmental management system.
