The International Reply Coupon 2009
The international reply coupon is a postal product exchangeable in all member countries for one or several stamps representing the minimum franking for standard local mail or for a standard airmail letter sent overseas.
The illustration, which decorates the new international reply coupon (IRC), called Nairobi, was presented in Geneva on the occasion of a plenary meeting of the 24th Congress of the Universal Postal Union. A Luxembourg artist, Rob Van Goor, won the competition organised by the international bureau of UPU.
Postal patrons, collectors, and philatelists can probably exchange them until the end of 2013. They replace the present coupon, Beijing 2, issued on July 1st 2006 and valid until December 31st 2009.
Price of the coupon: 1,25 €
