Optical connectivity: D-line

The D-line service involves optical high-speed data transmission between two or several sites, no matter how far apart they are.

This service can be used for interconnecting local networks (LAN) or for remote data storage (SAN – Storage Area Network, etc.).

The proposed service is based on a fibre-optic infrastructure dedicated to your project. It also includes network connectivity equipment and management of the service. D-Line can be adapted to most standardised interfaces.

The D-Line solution may be set up with or without redundancy. To adapt the configuration to your redundancy requirements, P&TLuxembourg offers four types of possible configuration, enabling a fully redundant architecture from an infrastructure and equipment perspective. :

  • non-redundant point-to-point connection
  • redundant connection
  • connection with two distinct traces and two racks
  • fully redundant connection from an infrastructure and equipment perspective.
