Minors
Minors may also open an post office account. The minor and his legal guardian must each bring an identity card.
Proxy holders
You can open a post office account with one or more proxy holders. The proxy holder may carry out the same transactions as the account holder, but may not introduce changes to the account. To have a proxy holder added to the account, the account holder and proxy must provide a copy of their signature and a certified copy of their identity card. What happens if the account holder dies?
The account is blocked until the death certificate and inheritance documents are received by the CCP. The account may be closed or transferred, depending on the wishes of the inheritors.
