Centenary of the "Ligue Médico-Sociale"
This year the “Ligue Médico-Sociale” celebrates its 100th anniversary.
Founded in 1908, the League has fought, from the beginning, against tuberculosis and social exclusion. Gradually, it has put in place the foundations for “médicosocial” prevention as well as social assistance for our country. Ever since, it has never ceased identifying the needs of society and creating assistance and intervention techniques for the population. Thanks to a team of 140 professionals from medical disciplines, social assistance, etc. the League is able to intervene quickly and offer gracious and accessible services to the entire population of the country.
The “Ligue Médico-Sociale” includes the following services: “médico-social” service, respiratory disease service, social accompaniment service, the regional social action service, the “Gesond Liewen” service, service and counsel in matters of over-indebtedness, service for “Mineurs et Majeurs Protégés”, and social assistance information.
