Cultural heritage in Marienthal
Each season brings its pleasures, such as a walk in the country to enjoy a magnificient snow-covered landscape, or discovering the abundant natural and architectural beauties of the Grand Duchy.
Located next to the former Abbey of Marienthal, the Yolande Tower is more than 300 years old but was renovated in the 19th century “in the spirit of romanticism”. In the 1990s, this building was badly damaged by flooding. Following several years of restoration work managed by the “Service des Sites et Monuments Nationaux”, it now shines brighter than ever and represents one of the new tourist attractions of the Eisch valley.
