125th anniversary of the town of Diekirch
Diekirch is the capital of the community, the canton and the district carrying the same name. Ideally situated between the capital and the “Petite Suisse” and on the left bank of the “Sûre”, it benefi ts from tourist traffi c. Since 1955, Diekirch has also been a garrison town - the only military barracks in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is found on the heights of Herrenberg.
The best way to discover the town is... on foot! Beautiful nature provides a joyful, charming atmosphere while you enjoy the whole gamut of pastimes : walks and excursions, museums and open-air entertainment in the pedestrian mall, meanderings through the old district, dining and high-quality gastronomy, shopping, sporting activities... in brief, relaxation all day long!
