World Cup 2006 in Germany
The big day is approaching and every football fan on the planet is holding their breath. For the 18th time in the history of FIFA, the best football nations will confront one another on the occasion of World Cup 2006, taking place this year in Germany.
A single question is on everyone’s lips: who will succeed five-time champion Brazil, the overwhelming favorite once again? Germany will have the advantage of playing at home, France and England are still formidable, and Argentina must always be considered to be a contender despite a rather feisty team. In short, the pretenders to the title are numerous and so the spectacle should be very exciting.
The appointment for the opening match in Munich between Germany and Costa Rica is set for June 9. The championship match will be played in Berlin on July 9. We trust that this World Cup will be contested with true sportsmanship and may the best team win!
