The phenomenon of 'transborderism'

From 20 November 2006 to 28 February 2007 there was a philatelic design competition held with the goal of creating a postage stamp clearly illustrating to the general public the phenomenon of 'transborderism' at the cultural, geographical, and intellectural level. This phenomenon deeply characterises Luxembourg and the Grande Region. The first prize, carrying with it the publication of the design as an offi cial postage stamp in September 2007, was awarded to Miss Stéphanie Rausch of Ettelbruck by a jury made up of a graphic artist, experts in stamp design and communication, as well as a representative of «Luxembourg and the Grande Region, European Capital of Culture 2007.
