Silver Wedding Anniversary
United by the deep bonds of respect and affection, Their Royal Highnesses the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess of Luxembourg celebrate their silver wedding anniversary on 14 February 2006, St. Valentine's Day.
Children of their union:
- Crown Prince Guillaume, born on 11 November 1981
- Prince Félix, born on 3 June 1984
- Prince Louis, born on 3 August 1986
- Princess Alexandra, born on 16 February 1991
- Prince Sébastien, born on 16 April 1992
The couple, together with their children, live in Berg Castle ; the Grand Ducal Palace, located in the centre of the capital, is the official residence of the Chief of State.
To commemorate the silver wedding anniversary, P&TLuxembourg is placing on sale on 7 February 2006, a commemorative sheet of one 2,50 € postage stamp as well as a 0,50 € special postage stamp corresponding to the internal rate for normalized letters up to 20 grams.
