The P&T LUXGSM stand at the Spring Fair has lots of new products on offer. In telecommunications, the stand's leitmotif is speed and performance. In addition to the newest smartphones and tablets, visitors can test the up-and-coming speeds achieved by fibre optics, coming close to 1Gbit/s (1,000 Mbits/s), which will greatly increase the current LuxFibre bandwidth.

The '6 Stonne Vëlo mat der Post an der Stad' (6-hour cycling event in association with the Post and the City of Luxembourg) took place on 8 July 2012 in Luxembourg-Cloche d’Or. The relay race organised by the Vëlossektioun of the Amicale des P&T (the cycling team of the P&T social committee) in close cooperation with the City of Luxembourg gave participating cyclists the opportunity to support a Luxembourg Red Cross aid project by making a donation.

P&T has started to install two new mobile payment systems in its post offices, which can be easily and comfortably accessed with smartphones. These new payment methods are especially suitable for small amounts, for example the purchase of stamps.
