HRH Grand Duke Henri portrait definitive series
A first series of 4 definitive postage stamps bearing the portrait of HRH Grand Duke Henri was issued on 1 October 2001, almost exactly one year after the accession to the throne of the Sovereign. On the occasion of the 3rd anniversary of this event, here are two new supplemental values of 0.01 € and 0.03 € to add to this series.
The new values, very convenient because of their size (2.40 x 2.75 cm), are produced in sheets of 20 copies. Since these stamps are expected to be reprinted according to demand and since they will always be available at post offices, they are called « definitive postage stamps».
To enlarge the range of stamps available for franking, 10 more supplemental values will be added to this series after the 1 October 2003 issues.
